On Thursday, Aug. 27, he walked across the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland before boarding Air Force One for Houston, Texas.
Dressed in a dark suit and purple tie, Trump headed toward the aircraft alongside a uniformed military escort. Secret Service agents were mere steps behind him.
Trump’s hallmark orange-colored makeup covered his face. A close-up view of the former reality television star showed his mangled hair sprouting from his lighter-toned head.
The photo also highlighted Trump’s sunken eyes and double chin. Critics pounced on the chance to troll the polarizing politician over the unflattering shot.
The snapshot of Trump at the U.S Air Force military facility went viral for all the wrong reasons and left many with questions.
They asked, “What’s with his hair?,’ What happened to his new wig? Is DJT’s hair thinning? What is going on here?”
One person joked, “When the comb-over finally realizes it can’t keep covering for you either. And it wants to file for political asylum halfway through the comb-over.”
Others mocked his aversion to wind, suggesting the president had finally grown tired of the wig jokes.
One jokester said Trump’s hair looked like it was “holding on for dear life,” while another simply replied, “Yikes.”
Several joked that Trump’s changing hairline meant he needed to rethink his bronzer, comparing him to an Oompa Loompa.

Three weeks later, that hair transformation has apparently been scrapped. The Joint Base Andrews photo of Trump sparked more inquiries about what is happening with his hairdo.
“Is the wig gone already?” one observer on X asked. Similarly, someone sarcastically wondered, “What happened to his new wig? So fluffy and luxurious. His regular hair is trying to escape.”
