‘What Is She Trying to Hide?’: Trump’s Sweet Family Moment Backfires as Aide Snaps at Reporters and Rushes to Shut Down the Cameras
Donald Trump’s latest public appearance took an awkward turn following a heated exchange on the tarmac.
The president seemed poised to deliver another polished glimpse into life around the first family.
But the mood shifted when someone lost their patience, forcing the White House to explain the chaotic scene. And the public has no idea what to think.
Trump and his team traveled to the European nation to meet with Irish President Catherine Connolly and Taoiseach Micheál Martin.
At the end of the trip, cameras captured Trump and his relatives on the airport tarmac as they were preparing to return to Washington on Sept. 13.
His two oldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, along with their children, were there to greet him at Ireland’s Shannon International Airport.
Seconds later, Trump aide Ellie Acra stepped into frame and rushed reporters away, blocking the shot of the Trumps.
Acra could then be heard loudly yelling “thank you” as she aggressively urged reporters to back away from the president.
Her face filled several camera screens as she moved closer, blocking reporters’ view of the Trump family during their football huddle.
Footage of the incident by independent journalist Aaron Rupar caught many people’s eyes, including Trump’s social media staff.
“Another blonde Trump flunkie starts literally shoving photographers away from Trump,” Rupar captioned his 16-second video of Acra raising her voice at the press corps.
Three hours later, the White House’s Rapid Response 47 account on X fired back, slamming Rupar personally.
“This is a press wrangler doing her job — and doing it well,” read the tweet in response to the criticism of Acra’s actions.
It continued, “Aaron, meanwhile, is gutter trash (in his 40s) who spends his days hiding behind his keyboard and making disturbing comments about women doing their jobs. Truly a sick freak!”
The White House’s takedown of Rupar backfired when the president’s critics sided with the well-known Trump watchdog.
“What she is trying to hide! Family vacation at the cost of US Taxpayers money like third word countries?” asked one person.
“Seems Aaron has really got under the White House’s skin. How can our president be so lame?” declared another poster.
Team Trump faced further ridicule when someone on the platform wrote, “Somebody is a little sensitive. Chill, incels.”
In contrast, a conservative slammed Rupar by writing, “That’s a White House press wrangler doing her job. What an ignorant, misogynistic post.”
The internet erupted, suspecting she was one of the three aides Trump alleged $45,000 cash gifts, along with Natalie Harp.
Rupar had his own comeback for the White House. He called out Trump’s public relations arm for fixating on his age and possibly causing targeted harassment.
“For the second straight day, the White House’s taxpayer-funded incitement account is attacking me and oddly mentioning I’m in my 40s (which I know makes me way too old for the president),” Rupar tweeted.
The Trump administration watcher added, “When they do this it results in a flood of harassing and threatening messages, which of course is the point.”
Trump’s overseas journey generated several other global headlines. But the White House only chose to address this matter as it involved in family.
It’s unclear what specifically. Various forms of protests against the American president popped up across Ireland.
