‘Stop Touching Me!’: Angry White Man Roughs Up Black Delivery Driver in Viral Video, Turning a Routine Drop-Off Into a Brutal Nightmare
A dedicated FedEx driver encountered a raging older man while delivering packages and tried to power through anyway.
The unidentified Black contractor had parked his Penske truck outside a customer’s home when a bespectacled older resident confronted him, demanding to know his name.
“I’m looking at the box, I’m going to the box,” the driver explained in a shocked voice, likely referring to a mailbox or a drop-off box shared by multiple residents.
According to the video obtained by Atlanta Black Star, the older man grabbed the driver by the neck, pulling on his shirt, and ordered him off his property. The driver, who appeared to be on the public sidewalk at the time, shot back, “Stop touching me, bro,” as chaos erupted.
The clip has since ignited two separate debates in the comments: one over property rights and the other over race.
Commenters split on whether the driver should have simply left. “Legally, if someone tells you to get off their property, you should leave,” one person wrote, later calling out the homeowner’s behavior: “The white dude was super extra and made that man’s life difficult for no reason. He got what he deserved. But unfortunately, the driver will be the one paying for it.”
Others pushed back, noting that ordering a delivery implicitly grants a driver access to the property. Many also highlighted how little the shaky footage actually proved. “That doesn’t mean we know anything about this fuzzy video,” one comment read. “Maybe the delivery guy was at the wrong address, who knows.”
Legally, delivery drivers typically have an “implied license” to approach a home to drop off a package, no invitation required. But if a homeowner orders them off the property, the driver is expected to leave. Grabbing someone by the shirt before they’ve had a chance to go? That’s a whole different story.
At the same time, many pointed to the racial dynamic — a white man blocking a Black delivery driver — as a flashpoint. “So, you can’t even work while Black now? Damn,” one Instagram user wrote. Another warned drivers to avoid certain neighborhoods altogether: “White drivers only in these areas. Do not put yourself in danger over a paycheck.”
FedEx has not yet responded to Atlanta Black Star’s request for comment.
