‘Somebody’s Butt Hurt’: Trump Explodes After His Hand-Picked Appointees Turn Their Backs on Him, Delivering Another Midterm Blow

Trump spent Tuesday morning lashing out at the Supreme Court after it rejected his administration’s bid to revive restrictions on mail-in voting just weeks before the midterm elections. The ruling came less than a month after Trump himself voted by mail in Florida’s Republican primary.
In an emergency order on Monday, the Court blocked the administration from implementing the new mail-voting restrictions for the 2026 midterms, allowing states to continue using their existing procedures.
According to reporting by The Associated Press, the order halts an executive mandate that would have required states to upload lists of eligible voters into a federal portal and directed the U.S. Postal Service to deliver mail ballots only to voters on those verified lists while enforcing uniform ballot envelope designs.
At least three states, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Alabama, have already started mailing out ballots. If the high court had ruled in Trump’s favor, it would have thrown the entire system into disarray just weeks before the election.
In a scathing post on his Truth Social platform, Trump called the decision a “highly political ruling” and nonsensically blamed Democrats for the ruling.

“Republicans just got another bad decision from the United States Supreme Court, one that the Court System took forever to give, and then blamed it, in part, on no time left to implement a solution to our totally CORRUPT and out of control Mail-In voting ‘disaster,’ which is a laughing stock all over the World, and where we are the only country that has to endure such a Nation Destroying SCAM,” Trump raged.

Trump went on to praise the two justices who dissented.
“Justices Alito and Thomas, legends both, strongly disagreed with this horrible, highly political, ruling. It is a big loss for Republicans, and America itself, and makes cheating by the Radical Left ‘Dumocrats,’ on Mail-In Ballots, a much easier thing to do – And now they have an open field to do so!” Trump whined using a misspelled word he coined against his opponents.
He lashed out continually in the long, 463-word post, including his signature sign-off. Trump bashed the three justices he appointed to the Supreme Court. Although Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett have often ruled in favor of Trump’s administration, they have also joined decisions that have gone against some of his policies, frustrating the president and underscoring the court’s independence.
“The Supreme Court has really let our Country down! Certain Justices are petrified of these crazed and depraved Democrats, and are totally unable to show the courage necessary to save our America,” a furious Trump wrote.
The Roberts Court dealt further blows to the administration’s key policy initiatives. In landmark rulings, the Supreme Court struck down President Trump’s executive order seeking to end birthright citizenship under the Fourteenth Amendment and invalidated his emergency import tariffs as illegal. The tariff decision forced the federal government to process tens of billions of dollars in refunds to U.S. companies for duties collected under the struck-down levies.

The president ranted that, “The Court’s inability and unwillingness to do the right thing for our Country will go down, in a very negative way, in the annals of History.”
He angrily expressed disappointment with his Supreme Court picks and accused the justices of being intimidated by the political left. The outburst fits an established pattern for Trump, who has repeatedly assailed his own court nominees whenever they rule against his administration.
“This Supreme Court is bullied and cajoled by the Radical Left into making decisions that have set America back at least a hundred years,” Trump lamented. “These are not the people I interviewed to serve on the United States Supreme Court, they are merely a shell of their original selves, a Court that is costing the United States Trillions of Dollars with shockingly bad rulings that are of such magnitude that it won’t be easily possible for our Country to recover or heal.”
Despite occasional setbacks, the high court has handed Trump a number of major victories, both since his return to office and during his first term. Those include expanding presidential power and granting former presidents broad immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts while in office. The Court has also strengthened the president’s authority to remove officials at independent federal agencies, among other decisions favorable to Trump’s administration.
But he continued lambasting the justices.
“It is a Court that will go down as having rendered some of the most destructive, hurtful, and damaging decisions in our Country’s history,” the president raged on.
Social media showed no sympathy for Trump. Users pointed out the obvious and criticized the president’s sour grapes attitude.
“OMG. I AM SO TIRED OF HIS WHINING HE MAILS HIS VOTE IN. WTF!!!! Sorry. Just so frustrating,” a Threads user yelled.
“He literally stacked the Court in his favor. They have supported a significant portion of his agenda that has been in violation of the Constitution. And, now, with one ruling he claims they are controlled by the left?! Could he be any more irrational?!” this Threads poster noted.
Another commenter saw the comedy in all of it. “Somebody’s butt hurt . . . again. Just hand him something shiny, he’ll be okay.”
Trump’s opponents, who claim he is trying to “cheat,” say this poster said the obvious part out loud.
“He’s scared. Good.”
The president even encouraged his MAGA faithful “to cheat like hell” in the midterms during a Republican convention in Dallas last week.
