‘Douche Bag’: Scott Jennings Busted Making Desperate Behind-the-Scenes Moves to Suck Up to Trump as He Secretly Grovels for Karoline Leavitt’s Job
A right-wing political commentator is snuggling up to President Donald Trump, gunning for the role of press secretary as Karoline Leavitt prepares to make her exit.
A new bombshell report reveals the lengths CNN panelist Scott Jennings is willing to go to snag the role.
Politico reported Thursday that Jennings sent clips of himself defending Trump aide Natalie Harp to administration staffers. And he even scored a private dinner meeting with Trump chief of staff Susie Wiles, who reportedly favors Jennings for the job.

Jennings Reportedly Top Pick to Replace Leavitt
The longtime adviser to Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell made the rounds on the radio, CNN, and social media defending Harp after Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff mentioned her in a speech in Atlanta Sunday.
Ossoff was heavily critical of Trump in the speech, saying the president would rather “build his ballroom and travel with Natalie” than “do the job” of the president.
On Wednesday night’s edition of CNN’s “NewsNight With Abby Phillip,” Jennings went after Ossoff.
“I expect Ossoff to criticize Donald Trump. I expect every Democrat running for president to criticize Donald Trump,” Jennings claimed. “What I thought was appalling about this is that Harp is not a public figure. She’s not a household name. Nobody knows who she is, and when he injected her into this, he knew what he was doing, which is punching down on someone who’s effectively defenseless.”
But his fellow panelists weren’t having any of it, pointing out, “Doesn’t Donald Trump do that all the time?”
Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz reminded Jennings that Trump despicably attacked Rob Reiner after he was murdered last December and has gone after journalists for doing their jobs.
Phillip played clips of Trump attacking women, including Hillary Clinton, Rosie O’Donnell and female reporters.
“If you’re going to be outraged over traveling on a plane with Natalie, are you going to be outraged over all those things?” Phillip asked, but Jennings dodged the question and refused to answer, creating even more of an uproar during the show.
Jennings Accused of Auditioning for Trump
Social media posters quickly responded to what they characterized as Jennings’ underhanded play for the role.
“A job that would boost Scott’s already greatly inflated ego. @potus, stick with a female, you know, like a young blonde,” an X user suggested.
“So he acts like an idiot and lies just to send them videos of himself showing how good of a lying douche bag he is LOL,” another agreed.
This poster believes Jennings has been auditioning for the part for some time now.
“He’s been giving trump a live performance every night.”
A Threads user revealed why she thinks Jennings would fit right in with the administration.
“The lack of integrity is awe inspiring.”
Who is Natalie Harp
Harp catapulted into the headlines after news reports surfaced earlier this month that she was with Trump when he was smuggled off Air Force One on a catering truck. Trump, Harp, and several other staffers were sneaked onto a military jet after a NATO summit in Turkey last month in reaction to a “credible” threat on Trump’s life from Iran.
Other administration officials, the White House press corps, and security personnel unknowingly flew to England aboard a decoy Air Force One.
Harp has also made news for her unusual devotion to Trump.
Her estranged brother recently told The Daily Mail that his sister’s attachment to Trump is “very unhealthy.” Preston Harp also called the president a “national embarrassment.”
In the meantime, Jennings has not publicly said whether he wants the job, but all the recent reporting suggests he does. When asked by Politico, he responded, “I don’t have anything to say about that.”
But if his maneuverings prove to be true and he is indeed going after the position, he’s entered into a crowded field.
The Daily Beast reports there are more than half a dozen people vying for the role, including Harp, Trump’s former attorney Alina Habba, current DHS press secretary Katie Zacharia, Breitbart’s DC bureau chief Matthew Boyle, and White House Communications Director Steven Cheung, to name a few.
