The television station division of Allen Media Group will continue its partnership by maintaining ABC affiliations in seven U.S. markets.
Byron Allen’s Allen Media Broadcasting and Disney are extending their longstanding partnership.
Allen Media Broadcasting, the television station arm of Allen Media Group, has inked a new multi-year partnership that maintains ABC affiliations in seven U.S. markets.
“We are delighted to continue our relationship with Disney’s ABC Entertainment Network,” Allen, the Founder/Chairman/CEO of Allen Media Group, said in a statement. “ABC has been an outstanding partner to our seven affiliated stations by delivering phenomenal programming across all genres—including entertainment, news, and highly-coveted premium sports to our viewers.”
The renewed partnership covers seven stations under the Allen Media Broadcasting and ABC-affiliate umbrella, including KITV in Honolulu, Hawaii; KEZI in Eugene, Oregon; KDRV in Medford, Oregon; WKOW in Madison, Wisconsin; WXOW in La Crosse, Wisconsin; WAOW in Wausau, Wisconsin; and WJRT in Flint, Michigan.
In total, Allen Media Broadcasting currently operates 13 ABC-, CBS-, and NBC-network-affiliated stations across 11 markets nationwide.
“We’re pleased to extend our partnership with Allen Media Broadcasting, ensuring that audiences have continued access to ABC’s industry-leading programming for many years to come,” Susi D’Ambra-Coplan, SVP, Affiliate Relations at Disney Entertainment Television, said in a statement. “The viewers in the communities these stations serve remain at the center of our shared commitment to deliver compelling shows, live sports and trusted news every day.”
The renewal arrives months after another Allen Media Group property, Comics Unleashed, is delivering in key demographics for CBS and last month, beat out the other two late-night shows it runs against, ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” in the key 18-49 demographic. “Comics Unleashed” is reportedly set to result in a $55M swing for CBS after employing a time buy model to replace The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”
