Birdman shares rare video with wife Toni Braxton after years of keeping marriage private
The couple offered fans a rare glimpse of their relationship one month after celebrating their second wedding anniversary.
Birdman has given fans a rare look at life with wife Toni Braxton, sharing a new video of the couple after years of keeping their relationship largely private. The Toni Braxton Birdman video comes one month after Braxton marked their second wedding anniversary with rare bridal photos and nearly a year after she described the two as “peas and carrots” while reflecting on their longtime friendship.
In the clip, shared on Birdman’s Instagram, the couple sits casually together in a car wearing sunglasses and similar jackets. Birdman tagged Braxton and captioned the post with his familiar “GCODE” and Rich Gang references.
Braxton’s younger sister, Tamar, quickly celebrated the post in the comments, writing, “Yesssssssssssss siiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrr.”
Essence reported that the video offers one of the clearest recent glimpses of the famously private couple together. The outlet noted that Braxton and Birdman had not been publicly seen together since 2023, when she briefly shared an Instagram photo kissing him before deleting it.
Their relationship has taken several public turns since they began dating in 2016. The pair announced their engagement in 2018, briefly split in 2019 and quietly married on Aug. 8, 2024.
Court filings later revealed that Braxton filed for divorce weeks after the wedding and listed Aug. 10, 2024, as their date of separation. She eventually dismissed the petition, and Birdman agreed to the dismissal, leaving the couple legally married.
Braxton has since spoken warmly about their relationship. During an appearance on “TODAY with Jenna & Friends” last year, she said she and Birdman had been friends for more than 25 years before the relationship became romantic and described them as “peas and carrots.”
Last month, Braxton celebrated their second wedding anniversary by posting never-before-seen images of herself in her wedding gown. Birdman was not pictured in the anniversary post, prompting some fans to question their relationship.
The new video between the two answers at least part of that curiosity. After years of keeping their marriage mostly out of public view, the couple appears comfortable offering fans a small glimpse of where things stand now.
