It’s been almost a week since Megan Thee Stallion sat down with “CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King for a tell-all-interview where the “Savage” rapper recounted what occurred on July 12, 2020, which left her suffering from injuries after being shot in the foot. The accused shooter was Megan’s former friend Tory Lorenz.

Following the event, Tory has maintained his innocence. Although both parties have shared different takes on what occurred that fateful night, the case is expected to start later this year.

On April 28, Joe Budden, who has publicly offered his support to Tory, discussed Megan’s interview and seemingly compared the case to Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson’domestic violence incident.

The pair got married in July 2012 and were divorced in September that same year. During “The Joe Budden Podcast,” the 41-year-old stated Megan’s remarks could be viewed as victim bullying before using Evelyn and Chad’s situation as an example.

Joe explained on mark 1:28:23 that following Evelyn and Chad’s domestic dispute — which occurred in 2012 and left the former reality star hospitalized with head butt wounds — whenever Chad’s name would come up in the media, his violent past with his ex-wife would soon follow.

He said, “For years, any time his name came up, she popped up. It had nothing to do with her. She popped up and said, ‘He did this.’ It didn’t matter the rehabilitation he’d done and didn’t matter the changes that he made, the apologies, both public and private.”

Joe added, “Everytime I do something positive, you’re gonna pop up with this victim story. And you are the victim, so I don’t take that away. But that’s bullying.”

After his remarks went viral and made their rounds on social media blog sites, including The Shade Room, Joe clarified what he meant.

He wrote, “We were discussing reactive abuse, not ‘seemingly’ comparing situations… prayers to everyone involved.” Shortly after his response, Evelyn clapped back at the podcaster.

She said while alluding to Joe’s alleged abusive history, “You should of used yourself as an example and kept us the f–k out of it!! FOH!”

Joe’s ex Tahiry Jose, whom he was accused of abusing in the past, also took to the comment section to share her cents regarding the situation. She stated, “THE BIGGEST F–KING NERVES ON EARTH!!! This is so wrong, so unfair but yet he still continues having a mic!”

On April 29, a day after Joe’s viral clip, Evelyn followed up her previous response by sharing a quote on her Instagram story. It read, “My life matters, so I spoke up. Domestic violence survivor.”

In addition to the photo, the former “Basketball Wives” star wrote the caption, “I’m gonna keep screaming to the heavens no matter what another abuser has to say about my past abusive relationship. “

The mother of two took it a step further by sharing graphic images of her battered face following the domestic altercation with Chad. She wrote in the caption while tagging Joe and his ex Tahiry, “Let’s not forget @joebudden should @therealtahiry post hers.”

Joe and Tahiry have yet to respond to Evelyn’s posts.
