Despite her busy life, Claressa Shields never shies away from making time for her relationship with rapper Papoose.

When the self-proclaimed GWOAT and artist isn’t defending her relationship, she’s prepping to go toe-to-toe with her next opponent in the ring and in the booth.

In fact, the undefeated boxer maintained her winning streak on Saturday when she took down Australian WBA and WBC world champion Kaye Scott.

Shields improved her record to 19-0 by getting the job done in the sixth round with a barrage of punches that had Scott’s corner throw in three towels to get the referee to stop the beating in the middleweight bout in Atlanta Saturday night.

But hours earlier, she shared a pre-fight admission before taking down Scott about what she refuses to drink.

‘No Divorce Yet Is Wild’: Papoose’s Anniversary Tribute to Claressa Shields Raises Eyebrows Ahead of His Decade-Long Marriage Mark with Remy Ma

A fan messaged Shields on Facebook as they were preparing for the big event on Aug. 15.

“Claressa Shields, what are we drinking tonight??? IM BOUT TO GET MY BOTTLE RN,” one person asked, predicting her win.

Shields cleverly responded, “Anything BUT REMY I’m thinking 1942!!!”

The comment received over 30,000 likes and spread to other social media outlets. Fans quickly jumped in, adding their two cents about her indirectly mentioning Papoose’s estranged wife, Remy Ma.

One person said, “They whole relationship revolves around the wife tf is going onnnnnnn.”

Another person pointed out Papoose recently got a tattoo of his wife’s face in a Rémy Martin bottle on his arm.

“Pap got that big a$$ Remy bottle with Remy’s face on it on his forearm I’d think that’s the reason that’s not her liquor of choice; she’s reminded everytime she sees the tattoo,” they wrote.

To show his affection in a similar way, Papoose recently had Claressa’s name tattooed on his arm and shared a video of the new ink hours before her fight. He later turned off the comments, seemingly to avoid negative reactions.

“He’s doing everything but signing those papers,” a third person taunted, alluding to how the one thing fans are waiting for is an official divorce.

Papoose and Remy Ma’s separation was confirmed in 2024. Since then both sides have given conflicting information about their relationship’s demise and their divorce.

In December of that year, they had a huge blowout on Instagram where they both accused each other of infidelity.

Papoose claimed Remy cheated repeatedly after coming home from a nearly six-year prison stint. Meanwhile, Remy revealed that Papoose and Shields had been dealing with each other longer than they claimed.

Months later, Remy said in a Live that all she wanted was for Papoose to sign the divorce papers.

She claimed “everything’s signed” and said, “I’m not even asking for child support.”

Papoose showed evidence that he filed a complaint for divorce on May 22, 2025.

So far there have been no updates on what’s holding up the divorce even as both parties seem eager to get it done and officially move on.

In the meantime, while the divorce seems to be at a standstill, the online attacks between the trio have continued.

Remy dropped a diss track in April called “Why You F-cking Lying.” She slammed her ex for claiming he was her ghostwriter.

He made this allegation in a Live last year, where he said he wrote 90 percent of her raps.

Shields responded by reposting a message to her Story that said, “I stop myself at least twice a day from posting some s**t that might stir the pot.”

Then Papoose lawyered up. He hit Remy, the mother of his youngest child, Golden, with a cease-and-desist letter demanding she take the song down.

Remy came back even harder after releasing her “Wanna Go” diss track on Aug. 14, just one day before Shields’ fight with Scott.

She sampled Crime Mob’s “Knuck If You Buck” song, which was fitting, since Crime Mob member Princess had just called Shields out for blocking her days earlier.

She claims Shields made the move after she asked the fighter if she could perform during her ring walk.

Instead, Shields got Latto to perform.

Remy didn’t stop there. She made sure her promo video for the song was on a screen outside State Farm Arena, where Shields held her fight on Saturday.

In a teaser video for her new diss track, she teamed up with two of Claressa’s biggest boxing rivals. Alycia Baumgardner and Amanda Serrano have had public feuds with Shields in recent years over name-calling and fashion looks.

Rapper Diamond, who is also in Crime Mob, gave her stamp of approval under Remy’s teaser of the song. She wrote, “Let’s go, big sister.”

It’s not clear if Shields’ Facebook message is the only response she’ll make to Remy, but time will tell.

For now, she’s basking in the celebration of her win.
