‘She Has So Much Personality’: Gabrielle Union Family Photo Takes a Turn When Fans Zero In on Kaavia James’ Expressions
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s daughter Kaavia James is a little Miss Personality through and through.
The actress took to her Instagram account on Wednesday, Aug. 3, where she shared a series of adorable family photos of herself, her husband, former NBA star Dwyane Wade, and their 3-year-old toddler standing near a window.

The 49-year-old star wore a navy blue dress with gold details around the waist. She wore her dark curls in a bun on the top of her head and opted for a fresh-faced makeup look. Meanwhile, the former athlete wore a light yellow button-down shirts with matching bottoms. Kaavia rocked a red and black skirt and a white tank top. Her curly hair was done up just like her mother’s.
However, it was Kaavia who stole the show with her beautiful smile and various facial expressions, including one where she placed her little hands under her chin and another where she crossed her arms, looking on off to the other side of the room. Gabrielle captioned the post, “My Is Heart is Full” [sic] with three black heart emojis. Dwyane replied, “We love our Mommy.”
Many fans gushed over the flicks but were quick to point Kaavia’s cute gestures in the comments section, including one user who wrote, “you better pose baby girl.”
Another person added, “That baby sure do be posing! She just like you @gabunion.” That’s my innanet niece in the middle serving up all the poses! Get it boo!” commented a third. “She has some much personality. Adorable”
Last month, Gabrielle opened up about teaching her daughter the importance of self-care. In a post, she wrote: “Teaching @kaaviajames to love every part of herself is a full time job with no days off but I approach it as an act of love. From the time Black girls are born, folks are checking our ears and nail beds to see how dark we might be or the incessant commentary about what “grade” of hair our kids might have. All our parts are up for discussion and often times, scorn.”
