Rolling Loud Sponsors DaBaby Tour Months After Dropping Him from Lineup for Controversial Comments
DaBaby’s next tour will be sponsored by Rolling Loud, the musical festival that booted the rapper off its roster following a controversial rant about AIDS/HIV during his set performance at the festival’s Miami installment last summer.
On Tuesday, Nov. 2, the North Carolina native took to his social media where he announced that he was going on a 22-show tour presented by Rolling Loud called “Live Show Killa Tour.” On his Instagram, comments were restricted.

“THE SHOW YOU THOUGHT YOU’D NEVER SEE AGAIN,” the rapper, whose real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, wrote, seemingly taking a jab at those who may have thought that his career was over following the incident.
However, according to TMZ, a representative for the popular festival said that the brand believed in “second chances” and were certain that the “Suge” rapper had “grown and learned from his experience.”
Fans appeared to be excited over the news that the 29-year-old was headed back on the road. The only obvious grievances were about the exclusion of his home state, which the rapper hadn’t added to the lineup. The show is set to take off on Nov. 26, in Chicago, before wrapping up in Los Angeles on Feb. 6, 2022.
The media outlet also revealed that the “Lonely” emcee reportedly inked the deal with Rolling Loud less than a month before his surprise appearance at Rolling Loud’s New York installment.
Though he was not set to perform, rapper and purported mentor 50 Cent brought out the “Rockstar” musician during his set on Thursday, Oct. 28, at Citi Field in Queens, another move reportedly backed by Rolling Loud organizers.
Fif’s previous prediction that DaBaby would bounce back from the scandal seemingly is panning out to be true. As previously reported, during an interview with E! News, the television maverick cited a lack of artist development when discussing DaBaby’s media troubles.
“Like, they didn’t notify him that he’s turning into a superstar,” Fif said at the time. “There’s no artist development. There’s no strong A&R in this, definitely no media training. Remember they canceled Chris Brown like five or six times.”
Since the blunder, DaBaby has apologized and offered multiple apologies and met with various members of the LGBTQ community to talk about his remarks.
