‘RHOA’ Stars Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore Battle It Out In the ‘Walk’ Challenge, Why Fans Declare Kenya the Clear Winner
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore caused an uproar in the comment section on Jan. 22 after the co-stars participated in the “Walk” challenge. The viral challenge involves people displaying their best strut to Saucy Santana’s 2020 hit song “Walk.”
Moore, who initially posted her video hours before Bailey’s, strode up and down the recording in a form-fitting low-cut black ensemble. The former beauty queen also added special effects, including purple and fire outlines as she glided on the screen. The Kenya Moore Hair Care creator captioned the clip, “When the Queen walks they all talk.”
Bailey took a different approach when taking on this TikTok challenge. The reality star decided to put a little “stank” in it with her Timberland boots and emerald dress as she walked toward the camera. The 53-year-old showed love to New York City in her caption by saying, “put a lil’ NY stank on it .”
When the challenge was reposted on The Shade Room comparing both women against each other, Bailey told fans that her video was all in good fun. She said, “Happy weight & good times!.”
Even with the explanation that the matchup wasn’t to be taken seriously, many fans were adamant in saying Moore dominated the challenge.
“Cynthia… what is dis honey .. but Kenya ate ”
“Kenya licked the plate CLEAN.”
“Kenya ate 50 Cynt up …”
“Chile Kenya gave us moore and than some.”
A fan disclosed that Bailey lost the challenge when she put her boots on. “Sis lost when she put them timbs on .”
As many fans sided with Moore, some expressed that Bailey would’ve won if she’d taken the challenge seriously. One brought up how Bailey was a supermodel before transitioning into a reality star.
“Cynthia is a whole supermodel. She’s clearly playing and clowning. Look how she’s walking in the Tims though if she walks like that in timberland boots clearly she will kill Kenya in some heels. Now let’s be real here. She was sparing Kenya trying to give her some shine surely y’all could see that. No?”
Another felt the battle between the two ladies wasn’t fair. “This ain’t a fair one, cause Cynthia was definitely playing around.”
An Instagram user mentioned although Bailey was fooling around, the title still went to Moore. “Cynthia was playing, but it’s still team Kenya.”
Bailey began modeling at 18 when she moved to New York, where she was immediately signed to an agency. Over the years, the mother of one has graced the international stage as a runway model and appeared in numerous magazine spreads.
In 2019, Bailey shared a throwback image to her first-ever modeling shoot in New York and revealed that the day after the initial session she landed a five-year contract with Wilhelmina Models.
“Straight out of Bama to NYC. This pic was from my first ever modeling shoot in NYC with photographer @noelsutherland on his rooftop. I was 19. scared, clueless, and determined to win all at the same time. @wilhelminamodels signed me to a 5-year contract the next day. The rest is history. #tbt #modellife #nyc #itwasalladream”
