Olandria, Trinity Tatum, and more ‘Love Island USA’ stars light up Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood
Olandria Carthen, Serena Page, Trinity Tatum, Kayda Bosse, Melanie Moreno and Aniya Harvey brought villa star power to Hollywood.
The “Love Island USA” pipeline into mainstream Hollywood showed no signs of slowing Wednesday night, as several of the franchise’s most recognizable Black women turned up for Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood 2026.
Presented by Disney+, the event brought rising talent to the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills on Aug. 5, and per Getty’s coverage of the carpet, “Love Island USA’s” Olandria Carthen, Serena Page, Trinity Tatum, Kayda Bosse, Melanie Moreno, and Aniya Harvey, all made appearances.
Olandria delivered what The Mirror US called one of the most memorable looks of the evening, arriving in a red long-sleeve lattice gown with a dramatic hip slit.
It’s become something of a pattern for the season 7 standout, who has built a reputation for treating every carpet as an opportunity. Serena Page, the season 6 winner, also worked the carpet, with Getty capturing her both solo and alongside partner Kordell Beckham.
The turnout struck a chord with fans watching from home. On Threads, one user summed up the reaction to seeing so many of the show’s women in one place, writing, “Whoaaa all my girls in one place, INSANE!” and rattling off names including Serena, Olandria, Trinity, Aniya, Melanie and Kayda.
That enthusiasm speaks to something larger than a single night of fashion. Over the past two seasons, Black women from the franchise have converted villa visibility into genuine industry access, appearing at the BET Awards, ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood and now Variety’s young Hollywood showcase.
It’s a trajectory that once seemed improbable for reality contestants, particularly Black women, who have historically been sidelined in the post-show economy of brand deals and red carpet invitations.
