‘My Mama Would Have Took the Door Off the Hinges’: Fans React to Evelyn Lozada Finding the Humor in Her Son’s Inappropriate Door Signs
Evelyn Lozada’s parenting style is on the receiving end of online criticism.
The reality television star was met with scrutiny when sharing a post about her son, Carl Leo Crawford, derailed. In a video Lozada quickly pans across the 8-year-old’s door, where three controversial signs are posted. They each read:
“Beware: Get the hell out of here”
“I do’t wanna go to school I just wanna break rules”
“GET the hell out of here”
In the video’s text overlay she wrote, “He don’t know I will bust this door all the way down! [laughing emoji].” The “Basketball Wives” star may have found laughter in her son’s choice of expressing himself, but for people on social media the video was the perfect springboard to criticize Lozada.
Others commented:
“My mama would’ve took the door off the hinges.”
“The door would no longer be on the hinges. Any my head would no longer be on my neck.”
“Those signs wouldn’t have even made it out the printer if this was a Black mama…” wrote another. But it did not take long for others to attack Lozada for sharing the clip with public.
“She thinks this is cute? It’s giving raising a menace. Look at the parents. Lawd.”
“It’s crazy that she allows this,” and “like mother like son smh.”
At least one person suggested that Lozada was behind the signs being placed on the door, and not her son. “She put them on there I bet just to make a video,” read one of the comments. Lozada has not addressed any of the criticism online.
The mother of two welcomed her son with her then-fiancé former MLB player Carl Crawford. Lozada also has a daughter, Shaniece Hairston, 28, from a former relationship. The proud mother regularly gushes about the love she has for each of her children, referring to them as ”the greatest gift life has given me.”
