When it comes to music, the Christmas season undoubtedly belongs to Mariah Carey! And this year her fans will be treated to an extra special holiday special courtesy of AppleTV+.

“Faced with a holiday cheer crisis, the North Pole knows there’s only one person who can save the day: Santa’s great friend, Mariah Carey,” the streaming service announced Wednesday per an official statement.

“Combining musical performances, dynamic dancing and groundbreaking animation, the undisputed Queen of Christmas jumps into action to create a holiday spectacular to make the whole world merry.”

According to Deadline, “on Friday, December 4, Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special will spread holiday cheer with an all-star lineup of guests including Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Misty Copeland and Mykal-Michelle Harris.”

Musical guests would also include Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson, who will perform alongside Carey for their holiday number “Oh Santa!”

There will additionally be a Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special soundtrack full of new versions of holiday classics and featuring appearances by Snoop Dogg, Jermain Dupri. The soundtrack will be available exclusively on Apple Music on December 4, and on all other global platforms on December 11.

AppleTV+ will also release an exclusive interview between Zane Lowe and Carey after the premiere of Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special. During the chat, the 50-year-old megastar will reveal what her favorite holiday songs are, give insights on her new music and memoir.

The holiday programming is executive produced by Carey, Ian Stewart, Raj Kapoor, and Ashley Edens for Done + Dusted. Hamish Hamilton and Roman Coppola not only direct but also serve as executive producers for the Caroline Fox-written special.

On Christmas Day, Dec. 25, Carey will also appear on Apple Music Hits, Apple Music’s new radio station, for a six-hour Holiday Hits special.
