With the new season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” just weeks away from premiering on the Bravo network, Kenya Moore shared a surprising detail that may shock many viewers.

The 51-year-old told the outlet when describing her happy personality this season, “I’m the Kenya that I was always meant to be this season. It’s so funny because I think that I got pegged into this villain role, and now it’s like, girl, just let someone else have that baton.”

She added, “Here, pass the scepter on. Honey, it’s over for you! I just think I’m back to reclaiming who I was always meant to be on this show. Lighthearted, fun, sassy–I will still tell a b—h off, but I do it with such dignity and grace.”

When asked who the villain baton got passed to this season, Moore said, while mentioning her “RHOA” co-star Marlo Hampton, “A few people I think this season. But I think there’s one person who definitely gets the baton more than others…Starts with an M and ends with an O.”

During the interview, Moore disclosed that her feuds with her former co-stars Porsha Williams, Phaedra Parks, Sheree Whitfield and Nene Leakes placed her in a villainous role.

She explained, “I think that I was just pegged into that villain role really early, and I just was never able to get out of that. I sort of, in my own way, leaned into it and then it was just like, ‘Okay, this is old, because now this really isn’t who I am, and I hate that I’m even perceived that way.’ “

As Moore’s remarks circulated online, many expressed that the beauty queen placed herself in the position to be a villain by coming for other people.

“Being a villain or the antagonist on any TV show gives you staying power. Kenya was getting them checks. To hell what other people thought cause y’all was not buying her Bentleys. BLOOP.”

“She’s the longest running for a reason this lady is so smart and be ready to take on whoever perfect combination.”

“Kenya made a role for herself by hilariously going out of her way to come for people. She really was the villain and the show needed it. It’ll be interesting to see her shift gears.”

“She made HERSELF the villain the very first episode she was on but anyways i’m excited to see what she’s giving this season!”

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 14 will premiere on May 1, at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
