Tamar Braxton took a stroll down memory lane on Nov. 6 after posting a throwback video with her sisters.

In the clip, Tamar, alongside Toni, Trina, Traci, and Towanda Braxton, performed their lead single “Good Life.” The song, released in 1990, landed at number 79 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart.

The sisters were formerly in a group called The Braxtons and eventually signed to Arista Records in 1989. Following the single’s release, the sisters — excluding Toni — were dropped from the label because of the commercial performance of “Good Life.” In 1991, Toni pursued a solo career, while Tamar, Towanda, Trina, and Traci sang background vocals for her debut album and tour.

Toni’s first solo debut single, “Love Shoulda Brought You Home,” was on the “Boomerang” soundtrack released the following year. In 1996, The Braxtons — which consisted of three of the four sisters, including Tamar, Trina, and Towanda — released their debut album “So Many Ways.”

The project did not include Traci because she left the group when the trio signed a new contract with LaFace Records after she became pregnant with son Kevin Surratt Jr. The group later disbanded in 1999 after Tamar left to pursue solo endeavors.

In the Instagram post, although Tamar didn’t provide the exact date and location of where the television performance took place, she did, however, write a special message to accompany the throwback video. She wrote, “Forever a Braxton Girl.”

As fans viewed Tamar’s recording, many aimed their focus at the sisters’ dance moves. One Instagram user even asked who was the mastermind behind the choreography.

“Damn, they had y’all dancing dancing! I love it so talented!”

“Chile. Who was the choreographer? I’m tired just watching this routine.”

“Y’all was hitting them steps.”

“Chileeee y’all was hopping and spinning like Peter Pan or something.”

“You was going FULL OUT! headband fell and all, you ain’t miss a step.”

Later that day, Toni reposted the same video and shared in her caption that Traci was the choreographer. She wrote, “Tamar just sent me this Why does it look like we are auditioning for a MC Hammer video?? I love it! P.S. Kudos to Traci for the choreography!”

Despite the group’s disbandment in 1999, all five sisters reunited in 2015 and released a Christmas album titled “Braxton Family Christmas.”
