Martell Holt and Melody Holt‘s brother Marcus Minnifield get into a heated discussion at “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” co-star Destiny Patton-Williams’ Halloween party following Minnifield’s parenting comments during the Feb. 20 episode.

Martell and Marcus, who both dressed as pharaohs, were catching up regarding Martell and Melody’s divorce proceedings. Marcus said, “I haven’t seen you since you done pushed your wife out of your life. What the hell is going on with all this stuff?”

Martell responded by saying although he and his estranged wife aren’t seeing “eye to eye” on things and have different pursuits regarding career choices, his primary focus is their four children. “I would definitely say we growing apart. I mean, like, you know, she wants to be on TV. She wants to be the star. The only thing right now I’m focused on. Just so I got my kids, right? That’s what I’m focused on.”

Things went left after Marcus threw jabs at Martell’s parenting skills by telling him that his children asked his husband Troy to be their “daddy” following a recent visit.

“And I guess you won father of the year award. When the kids were at my house you know what they told me when it was time to go? They told Troy, ‘Can you be our daddy? I don’t want to go home.’”

Martell became defensive and began cursing at Marcus for what he deemed was disrespect. The “LAMH” star went as far as to threaten his soon-to-be ex-brother-in-law even after he mentioned that comment was to show the kids are negatively affected by the divorce process.

“I’m telling what the kids said, Martell, and I’m telling you how they feel psychologically. So I don’t give a f–k about you. I care about the kids.”

Marcus added, “All that s–t don’t mean s–t to me.”

Martell retorted, “If you say it again I’m going to f–k you up.” The two men reached no resolution as the scene abruptly ends.

The verbal altercation occurred after Minnifield had a conversation with his sister Melody as she and the children adjust to their new living arrangements.

The 35-year-old told Minnifield that although the kids love the home, she struggles to make it feel like her own place. “I haven’t yet gotten that feeling of just like a home because I haven’t been able to just make it ‘a home’ yet. But in terms of having my own space and the ability to just be free emotionally, mentally, and all of that and be at peace, that part is cool.”

Melody then opened up to her brother about the ways Martell has made co-parenting difficult, including telling the children about Minnifield’s sexual preference and insinuating he’s a pedophile.

She said, “So when that happened, of course, I was so hot because that wasn’t his place. First of all, that wasn’t your place to — especially maliciously what you did, trying to put that — instill that there’s something wrong with their uncle. I didn’t like that at all. So I called him and cussed him out real tight.”

Melody filed for divorce from Martell last summer after 12 years of marriage. That following October Melody revealed on Instagram Live that her estranged husband was expecting another baby by another woman.

She said, “I filed for divorce, and you told me you had a baby on the way. You told me you had a baby on the way and she wasn’t getting rid of it because she’s gotten rid of kids for y’all before and she wasn’t doing it this time. So why are you even bothering me? So I’m asking you now, just leave me alone.”
