‘I Love You So Much for This Scream’: Tamar Braxton Shares She Got a Kick Out Of Beyoncé’s Birthday Post Mistake on Her Website Following the Loss of Her Sister Traci Braxton
Tamar Braxton revealed on March 17, that Beyoncé‘s birthday post mishap helped her laugh after the singer’s website accidentally shared a throwback photo of her sister Trina Braxton.
Tamar’s post comes almost a week after her family confirmed in a joint statement that Traci Braxton had passed away.
Traci, who starred in weTV’s reality series “Braxton Family Values” since its debut in 2011, died on March 12, following her year-long battle with esophageal cancer. Traci was 50 years old.
The “Love and War” singer, who just turned 45, shared that the bittersweet moment occurred after Beyoncé’s website wished her a happy birthday with a younger photo of her sister Trina.
In a Twitter post, Tamar wrote, while mourning the loss of her sister Traci, “I wasn’t going to post cause it for sure doesn’t feel like #sttamarsday but, I want to thank @Beyonce for the laugh that I have been searching for since Saturday morning.”
She continued her tweet by expressing that she sees this moment as a sign from God. “I’m sure it wasn’t on purpose, but God knows what u need. I love you so much for this SCREAM.”
Although it is unclear how Beyoncé or her team obtained the throwback image, the photo first appeared in December 2015, after Towanda Braxton wished Trina a happy birthday.
In addition to Beyoncé sending well-wishes to Tamar on her special day, Tamar’s mom Evelyn Braxton, older sister Toni Braxton, countless fans and loved ones sent touching messages to the singer.
Evelyn wrote alongside the photo of the pair, “Help me wish my beautiful, unique, phenomenal daughter @tamarbraxton Happy birthday. I’m so proud of the woman and mother that you have become. May your birthday be nothing short of amazing. Mommy loves you. Look at God.”
Sister Toni Braxton shared a baby photo of Tamar in her Instagram story with the caption, “Wishing you the happiest of birthdays today, Tay-Monster! We’re all celebrating you today, whether it be here on earth on in the heavens. #FamilyForever.”
