‘I Have Stayed Quiet for Far Too Long’: Jesse Williams’ Ex-wife Seemingly Addresses Actor Claims She’s Blocking Him from Seeing Kids
Jesse Williams’ child custody drama with his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee appears to have spilled over to social media after the real estate agent recently posted a message seemingly in response to the former “Grey’s Anatomy” star accusing her of preventing him from seeing his small children. The former couple separated in 2017, finalizing their divorce in 2020.
In a lengthy Instagram post shared to her page on Thursday, Sept. 14, Drake-Lee posed many questions, seemingly addressing why it might be difficult for Williams to see 8-year-old daughter Sadie and 6-year-old son Maceo.

“Is it good for the health and wellness of a 7yr and 8yr old to be taken out of school on a regular basis to fly cross country overnight on a red eye to be on the ground for two days?” the mother of two wrote. “Is it reasonable for them to return dazed and confused and then be expected to pick right up and survive at school the rest of the week? I don’t think so! Neither do any of the parents who actually parent on a routine basis,” she continued.
Drake-Lee concluded her captioned writing, “There’s a name for the condition of an adult who expects their children to indulge, caregive and service that adult’s desires at the childrens’ expense…” before leaving two hashtags including #receiptsseason #ihavestayedquietforfartoolong.
Social media users had a lot to say on the situation, including one user who wrote, “If I’m keeping my foot on your neck was a person,” before showing Drake-Lee support, noting, “But totally agree about the kids flying back and forth. Hopefully they can work it out.”
However, many advise that she keep the sensitive matter offline. “Take it to court ma’am, Instagram can’t do nothing for you,” commented one critic. Another person added, “Did you tell a judge this? How did social media become a court room? LADY WE CAN’T HELP U.”
Williams recently received a permanent reduction in child support payments by more than $30,000 after leaving the ABC series.
In court documents obtained by Radar Online, the “Station 19” actor filed his second motion for an emergency hearing. He initially filed back in June, claiming that Drake-Lee was “blocking, interfering with, or obstructing his regular custodial time.” The star, who is currently on Broadway, stated he wants to specifically ensure “the children and I do not lose our precious custodial time together while I am working on ‘Take Me Out.’”
