Randy Moss, a pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver, is dealing with ongoing health issues. The 47-year-old has declined to share any specifics of his diagnosis, but in a video posted to Instagram before an appearance on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown on Dec. 1, he called his health issues an internal battle.

“Throughout the week of the holidays, man, your boy has been battling something internal,” he shared. “And I just ask for all the prayer warriors to put their blessing hands on me and my family through these hard times.”

Moss said he made the video especially for all of the men out there. He also shared he was aware that people had been talking about his eyes after the previous week’s show. The former footballer said he would be wearing sunglass, which he’s calling “Michigan turnover glasses.” He’s also feeling positive about his condition as he seeks treatment.

“I’m battling something, man, and it’s something internal. Your boy gonna get through it. I got a great team of doctors and I got a great family around me,” he said. “All you men, y’all do your checkups, get your blood work done, and we’ll work through it, all right? All right, so you see me with my Michigan turnover glasses on, y’all know what I’m battling, man. God bless y’all. Thanks for the prayers, man.”

Moss did post a follow-up video on Instagram where he told followers again that he will not share specifics about his aliment. But he did address his health on Sunday NFL Countdown.

“I just want to let the viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family, we are battling something internally. I have some great doctors around me,” he said. “I couldn’t miss the show. I wanted to be here with you guys. I feel great, but if y’all see me with these ‘Michigan turnover glasses’ that I have on, it’s not being disrespectful because I’m on television, man. I’m battling something. I need all the prayer warriors.”
