Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell are honeymooning on a yacht, but their workout stole the show
The newlyweds shared a scenic workout just days after tying the knot, and viewers quickly noticed one curious detail.
Ten days into married life, Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones gave the internet exactly what it needed to argue about.
The Cleveland Cavaliers guard, 29, posted a video to his Instagram Stories on Aug. 9 showing the newlyweds getting in a workout aboard a yacht, with Mitchell on a Peloton and Jones, 28, on a treadmill beside him. Filmed from behind, the clip captured a sweeping scenic backdrop that most viewers would happily trade their gym membership for.
But it was a smaller detail that sent commenters into a spiral. Both were working out barefoot, a choice that had plenty of people questioning how much actual exercise was happening.
The Sports Network reposted the video with the caption “No days off for Donovan Mitchell,” one commenter cut straight to it: “Both barefoot? Yeah, they ‘exercised’ for the video.” Another joked that Mitchell had better be putting in daily work given the four-year, $273 million extension the Cavs handed him.
Others simply admired the scenery. One user observed that the couple looked as though they were “running towards that mountain in front of them,” while another concluded Mitchell had straightforwardly “won in life,” working out on a yacht alongside his “multi-talented” wife.
The honeymoon follows their Aug. 1 wedding, an intimate affair attended by close family and friends, including NBA stars Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson and Bam Adebayo, along with Ciara and Russell Wilson. Footage shared by Brown captured the couple dancing to Musiq Soulchild during the ceremony.
Mitchell and Jones kept their relationship largely private before announcing their engagement in July 2025, revealing the news with a photo of the two sharing a kiss, the singer’s ring on full display. Representatives said at the time that the proposal came during a vacation the pair took to recharge following his season and her sold-out tour.
