Safaree Samuels Says Getting Married Was One of the ‘BIGGEST Mistakes’ He’s Made, His Wife Erica Mena Claps Back
It was all good two days ago! It looks like Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena’s marriage is on the rocks — AGAIN — and it looks like it is for real this time.
On Feb. 23, Samuels tweeted, “I mean this from the bottom of my heart getting married was 1 of my BIGGEST mistakes, and it will never happen again. I’m walking away before I End up in jail over some dumb s–t. Nobody is worth my freedom!!!”
Mena caught wind of Samuels’ tweet and decided to agree they should split. On Twitter she wrote: “Since you always run to social media like a little girl I might as well join in. I absolutely agree with you on this. You are the most selfish, vain and inconsiderate person. And not just with me but your only daughter!”
She added, “Out of RESPECT for my daughter and to honor my growth as a woman. I’m going to get back to doing what I do best. Make money and be only about my business. Entertaining social media with my issues isn’t my thing.”
Many fans disagreed with Samuels making the announcement and believed that he should have kept the couple’s marital issues off of social media. One person wrote, “How bout publicizing your problems and embarrassing your child mother as a big mistake. Keep that sh-t in house !
Someone else commented, “You couldn’t just leave that in the drafts lmao you just HAD to press send huh smh.”
But some fans came to Samuels’ defense and supported him for his decision in airing out his business. One defender tweeted, “Own yo truth! Never let somebody tell you how to feel or express yourself. Facts are facts! If it hurts you, you have the right to deal with your emotions and pains the way Y.O.U. want to! #cancersh-t.”
This is not the first time the Samuels hinted about divorcing Mena on social media. Almost three months ago, he uploaded a picture of himself standing with an umbrella and next to a house. He tagged the words “divorce court” on the house and wrote in the caption that he was a “Bachelor!! Ending 2020 right.” But not even a week later he apologized to Mena in another IG post, with the caption reading: “A man is nothing without his family. Im not a bachelor & I love my wife I would never disrespect the mother of my child or wife. Sorry for being childish & Salute to all the real men out there.”
The couple tied the knot in 2019, and they share a 1-year-old daughter named Safire Majesty.
