Taylour Paige Says a ‘Healer’ Told Her She Was Going To Meet Boyfriend Jesse Williams
Jesse Williams and Taylour Paige‘s love story just got a little more spiritual. After going Instagram official with their relationship in 2019, the pair is opening up about their love affair with some pretty eye-opening details.
During an interview for GQ’s Modern Lovers issue, the two talked about the night they first met and how Taylour said she found out she’d be dating the “Grey’s Anatomy” star way before even meeting him.
While reflecting on the night they met during a 2018 Emmy party, Taylour explained that little did her now-boyfriend know, but she was ready to meet him before he saw her. However, well before that unique interaction took place, Taylour said she had begun visiting a spiritual healer because, at that time, she had been going through a rough patch in her life.
The “Zola” star said the healer told her that a “mysterious ‘J’” would play a significant role in her life. The healer claimed that the man would be older than her and work in the same industry and that the two would meet in a dark, crowded space. Jessie is 39 years old, while the “White Boy Rick” actress is 30.
Taylour shared that she had a dream that she was sleeping next to Jesse the night before the two met. Paige expressed that she had been waiting for him to show up, and when he eventually did, she said a calm washed over her.
“It was just like, ‘There he is.’ Almost like, ‘Where have you been?’” she explained. However, unlike his girlfriend, Jesse didn’t believe in a thing called fate. “Jesse can be very literal — facts, facts, facts,” Taylour said. “We came from very different worlds,” Jesse chimed in. He added, “She’s very feminine and into spiritual planes, astrology. I’m very practical, fact-based, and masculine.”
Still, the “Cabin in the Woods” star said he was open to change. “I was having a wild, unfamiliar, uncomfortable experience because it was all just happening in a very spiritual way — a way that’s not how I usually arrange things in my life. But I’d been going through a lot of transitions in life, and I had deliberately positioned myself to be open to saying yes, to be available to whatever, more than I had in the past,” he continued. “I don’t often let things happen to me. But because I had decided I was going to be open, I didn’t pull the brake like I normally would. I didn’t try to control, or position, or take a breath, and I just went along for the ride, as scary as that was and has been. She blew in.”
Still, after three years of being together, Jesse said while he is open to new perspectives, one non-negotiable thing is his goal to protect his newfound love with Taylour from tabloids and others who might ruin what they’ve got.
Before Taylour, Jesse was married to real estate broker Aryn Drake-Lee. The former couple had been married nearly five years when he filed for divorce in 2017, beginning a contentious process that was only finalized last October. In past interviews Drake-Lee has expressed that Jesse’s stardom contributed to their marital issues.
