In the past, Williams’ manager William Selby opened up to The Sun newspaper about why he and the star decided to collect several pieces of “The Wendy Williams Show” memorabilia. The list include’s her chair, a few wigs, customized shoes, and artwork which were slated to be thrown away by production following the series finale. “The Wendy Williams Show” ran from 2008 to June 2022.
He told the publication that one of the reasons behind their decision to retrieve those items was because they were considered iconic.
Selby said, “We took it from the show. When they announced the show was over, I said to Wendy let’s go get your stuff. I thought ‘Why should it stay there- so people can sell it on eBay?’ There were some things I felt were iconic.”
Also, in the interview, Selby revealed that all items remain in her apartment.
