It’s all love! Shaunie O’Neal revealed on Feb. 8 during an interview with Page Six that she is rooting for her ex-husband Shaquille O’Neal to remarry when it is right. The Basketball Wives executive producer was promoting season 8 of the hit VH1 show scheduled to air on Feb. 9 at 8 p.m.

Shaunie says whenever her ex is dating someone new she hopes the woman is the elusive “one.” “When I see Shaq with a new woman, I’ll be like, ‘Oh, is this the one? Please let this be the one. Like, girl, stick in there — you got this.”

The “BBW” alum admitted that when that moment comes for Shaq to settle down she would be front and center celebrating the joyous occasion, and vice versa.

“We’ve talked about this. We will be invited to each other’s weddings.” The former couple married in 2002, separated in 2007, and filed for divorce in 2009. They share four children and both have a child from a previous relationship.

Shaunie added that although she doesn’t pry into the NBA legend’s dating life, she would like for him to “chill out.” “I think he need to sit down somewhere and be still and chill out. I mean I don’t get in his dating life at all. I don’t do none of that. It’s on the blog sometimes, and my youngest son is there with him, right? So I’m just like, dude, can you chill? Like sit down and be a dad and stop.”

Shaq has had a stream of high-profile love affairs in the past, but the sports commentator recently made headlines for allegedly dating “Love & Hip Hop” star Moniece Slaughter years ago. Slaughter said on Sept. 3 during an interview with Domenick Nati that they dated from 2011 to 2012. The mother of one claimed that the demise of the relationship came because he didn’t like being “questioned.”

“He broke it off with me because I was asking too many questions,” Slaughter said. “He doesn’t want to be questioned. He does not like to be cornered.”

Shaunie also discussed in her interview what she looks for in a man. “Here’s the thing: I don’t need a man to take care of me financially. I would like to date a man that’s in the realm of my lifestyle so that I don’t have to deal with insecurities. Because, as a man, I would imagine it is hard to date a woman who has her own and is successful and could buy her own things and travel on her own and do all that.”

She added, “I’ve had some of my male friends tell me that like, ‘Girl, you ain’t never gonna find nobody, because don’t nobody want a woman that has more in the bank than they do.’ And I’m like, ‘Really, that’s not fair.’ I need a man for companionship, for love, for his support, protection. Like, all those things money can’t buy, right? But I do need you to bring something to the table, I don’t want to have to pay for everything.”
