‘He Showing His Age’: Diddy Shows Off the Choreography for His Single ‘Gotta Move On,’ Yung Miami and His Fans are Not Impressed
In the past, Sean “Diddy” Combs has made headlines following the release of his 2022 single “Gotta Move On,” featuring Bryson Tiller.
The controversy surrounding the track occurred after Cassie Ventura’s husband, Alex Fine, threw shots at the 52-year-old in June for referencing his past relationship with the model and singer.
Combs and Ventura, who dated for almost a decade, split in October 2018. Following their breakup, Ventura went on to date Combs’ personal trainer Alex Fine, and the couple would ultimately would marry in 2019.
Fast forward to Aug. 30. Combs has again found himself in the news regarding his single, this time for sharing an instructional dance video for “Gotta Move On.” In an Instagram post, the Bad Boy founder showed off the moves in what appears to be his home.
The video starts with Combs moving side to side as he says, “Okay, okay, everybody. Here is the instructional video for the ‘Gotta Move On’ dance, okay. First, you have to get in your bop, okay. Watch my head and my body. It’s going to be all like one motion.”
The father of five then continues the video by moving his neck and body to the left and right sides. While also adding a front and back motion to the dance, Combs says, “This how you move on. You move on like this, to the right. To the left, to the back. Move forward.”
As he repeats the previous sequence for a second time, the mogul then adds a swaying leg movement as he says, “Get in your bag, stay in your bag.” Combs wrapped up the video by expressing his love to his fans.
He said, before shutting off the camera, “Love y’all. Get in your bag, stay in your bag. Gotta move on right now. Let’s dance.” In addition to the video, Combs wrote in the caption, “Attention everybody!! Here’s the official #GottaMoveOn dance instructional video!! Now let’s dance!! Get in your bag, stay in your bag!! LOVE! LOVE!! LOVE.”
Immediately following his upload, Combs’ boo Yung Miami, from the rap group City Girls, expressed in the comments section how he needed to stop dancing. She wrote, alongside several laughing emojis, “Diddy plsss.”
As the video circulated online, many pointed out Combs’ dance is a bit outdated. At the same time, a few individuals claimed they wouldn’t be participating in this dance challenge.
“Tell me you grew up in the 90’s without telling me you grew up in the 90’s.”
“We are not doin this old school dance.”
“Come out the 90s please.”
“He think this back in the day. LMFAOOOOO WE DON’T DO THAT MESS NOMORE UNC.”
“This dance looks a little outdated.”
Among the previous remarks, others pointed out that Combs’ old dance moves showcased his actual age. One wrote, “He showing his age.” Another said, “He’s definitely getting old.” A third person posted, He really old as hell, can’t even fake it.”
