‘He Got a Whole Baby’: Ne-Yo’s Ex Crystal Renay Reportedly Files for Divorce from Singer Following Cheating Allegations, Fans React to Model’s Claim That He Fathered a Child Outside Their Marriage
Ne-Yo’s estranged wife, Crystal Renay, has officially filed for divorce just days after accusing the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter of being unfaithful in their marriage.
According to legal documents obtained by Us Weekly, the former reality star filed the paperwork in Georgia on Monday, Aug. 1, revealing that they separated “on or about July 22, 2022, and since that date have continuously lived in a bona fide state of separation.”

The 36-year-old also argued that she was “entitled to a divorce from [Ne-Yo] upon the ground that the marriage is irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.” Elsewhere alleged that the 42-year-old entertainer had “committed the act of adultery” and “recently fathered a minor child with his paramour.”
Ne-Yo and Crystal began dating in 2014 after meeting during a casting call for his music video. They tied the knot in February 2016 and welcomed three small children, including 6-year-old Shaffer, 3-year-old Roman, and their 13-month-old daughter Isabella. The mother of three is seeking primary physical custody of the kids and joint legal custody, in addition to temporary and permanent alimony, as well as a “sufficient amount of child support.”
In the Instagram post shared on July 30, Crystal disclosed in a lengthy statement titled “8 years” that throughout their entire relationship, the “So Sick” singer has stepped out with women that sold their “bodies to him unprotected.”
She added, “8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected… every last one of them! To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement.”
A day later, Ne-Yo took to his Twitter, requesting that everyone give them some time. “For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors,” he tweeted. “Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me and my family’s privacy at this time.”
Crystal appeared to receive much online support behind her decision to leave the award-winning singer, including one Instagram user who wrote, “Sometimes it’s hard to walk away but you gotta know your worth!!”
Another person added, “Good for her! Move on and let that man be for the streets.” “He got a whole baby so yes sis move tf on,” added a third person. “And get paid while doing so.”
Still, this isn’t the couple’s first talk of divorce. In 2020, the model filed for divorce but later withdrew her petition. This year they celebrated their romance by renewing their vows with a “second” wedding.
