In what some some described as an “absolutely beautiful” mother-daughter moment, actress Gabrielle Union spent time teaching her daughter Kaavia James Union-Wade, 2, the significance of self-love as the two discussed the toddler’s inherited beauty marks.

The 48-year-old shared the initial video entitled “Teaching her to love every part of herself,” on Friday, Aug. 13. In the clip, the mother-daughter duo are swimming in the pool when the “L.A’s Finest” star points out her moles. She says, “Mommy has a lot of moles. I got moles on my face.” Kaavia then responds, “I don’t have a mole.” When Union begins to search for Kaavia’s mark, the toddler says as she points to her lip, “I got a couple right there,” to which the actress disputed, “No, that’s your lip.”

As the recording continues, Union gently lifts Kaavia’s foot and says,”There’s your mole. But see it’s not bothering anyone, so you just leave it, it’s a part of you. It’s Kav’s mole.” At the end of the inspirational post, the pair is seen embracing their moles as they exclaimed “We got moles!” Union took the upload a step further by informing followers in the caption to constantly check up on their moles if they “were to change size or shape.” She wrote, “Guac-A-MOLE!! We’ve got moles! PSA If your moles change size or shape, don’t make a TikTok, make a Drs appointment #ShadyBaby.”

While fans began to view the video, many marveled over its beautiful message.

“Her excitement at the end warmed my heart absolutely beautiful! .”

“ LOVEEEEE THIS!!!!! That foundation of self-love is everything!!!”

“This is so wholesome .”

“My heart just spilled all over this floor!!!!!! If only we all celebrated our bodies this way daily! .”

In addition to the praise, a couple of people mentioned how “well spoken” Kaavia is for a toddler. One wrote, “the way she talks awwwww such a big girl .” A social media user said, “I’m just love how well spoken and expressive she is at this age . #selflove #blackgirljoy to it.”

Despite the initial fans’ “well spoken” statement, this isn’t the first time that Kaavia has had compliments poured on for being wise beyond her years. In July, Union posted a video of her daughter giving her life advice after the actress appeared to be upset for an undisclosed reason. Kaavia comforts her mom by handing her a flower from a floral arrangement from a table and says, “It’s okay. It’s not a crisis.”
