Marlon Wayans celebrated a milestone birthday with a groovy bash attended by family and friends.

The youngest of the Wayans family turned 50 on July 23. The “Little Man” actor shared on social that he was in good company as images of a poolside party made their way onto social media. The theme for the festive event was “Marlon’s Groove,” which included those in attendance donning ’80s-inspired outfits.

Wayans gave fans a glimpse at his funky, fresh birthday ‘fit that was comprised of a red leather bucket hat, square-framed sunglasses, a gold chain with a photo pendant of his mother and a jersey. As the birthday wishes of prosperity and continued longevity poured in, so did messages from fans admiring how the “Bel-Air” actor had maintained his boyish good looks throughout the years. “Happy birthday u are still young and handsome still looking like you are in your 20s love you!” wrote one person. 

“50 where? Still fine [fire emoji],” wrote another person.

“50 look great on you!!” and “50 and looking like your 40,” wrote others.

The comic’s birthday holds extra sentimental value. He and his late mother Elvira Wayans share the same birthday. The family’s matriarch passed away last year at the age of 81. Her youngest son made sure to acknowledge her with a special post. “Happy birthday mama… i honor you with a smile on smile. Love you for life and then some. #birthdaytwins,” he wrote as the caption that accompanied a photo of his mother during her younger years.

Wayans’ older brother Shawn added to the nostalgia of the day. On his Instagram account, Shawn took fans for a trip down memory lane when he posted a throwback photo of them from the early ’90s. Seeing the duo together reignited fans’ desires to see the comedic brothers back on the big screen together.

One person wrote, “You an Marlon in any movie together = hella funny and iconic!”

“Since everyone doing remakes Shawn we need another white chick’s an this time threshold have to visit the hood. That would be hilarious,” wrote another fan. 

The younger Wayans has previously spoken about the long, taxing process he and his older brother endured while transforming into their “White Chicks” characters. As a result, the “Marlon” star said it is not likely fans will ever get a sequel to the film.

“We’d work fourteen hours after that. It takes an hour to take the makeup off,”  the “Sextuplets” star told GQ. He continued recollecting how, “Shawn and I would get two hours of sleep for like sixty-five days, or sixty days, and we still managed to hang out with our cast, and we still managed to write a series of books, and write ‘Thugaboo,’ which was an animated series. That was hard and almost killed us.”
